Basic Pistol & Safety Class: $49.95 (2hr)

Learning is conducted using your pistol, inert training rounds, SIRT Laser training pistols and with firing of live ammunition. In order to learn your firearm, you are required to be a pistol owner. No rental pistols will be permitted in this class.

This 2-hour Basic Pistol Safety class is designed for a person that owns or recently purchased a pistol and wanting to enhance their knowledge, skills and safety.

Basic Pistol is conducted by the Chief Firearms Instructor. The 2-hours will include range lecture, demonstrations, range practice and physical repetition to develop long term skills.

Basic Pistol Safety will teach you:

• safety rules that apply to all firearms
• range conduct and etiquette
• naming your pistol parts
• physical operation on your semi-automatic pistol
• safe steps in loading and unloading your pistol
• ammunition selection on your pistol
• stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control
• firearms home storage for your pistol
  
  

Required Equipment:

• Semi-automatic pistol only (.22LR, .380 ACP, 9mm, .40 S&W or .45 ACP)
• 50 rounds of pistol ammunition
• 2 pistol magazines
• Eye protection
  
• Hearing protection (electronic recommended)
• Range clothing appropriate for outdoor range and weather conditions
• Athletic shoes, no open toe shoes or sandals
• Water and snacks
